There are four films we could watch on April 21. After the film we will carry on a discussion on this blog. Take a look at these trailers and reviews in order to gain an understanding of each of the films and then post a comment noting your preference for what film we will watch in class on the 21st.

I generally read the Christian websites before I show a film in school because it helps me understand how some parents might react to it. Usually I read the uber-conservative Pluggedinonline.com but they don't review independent films so I've linked to christiananswers.net which is a great deal more open-minded and tolerant of divergent viewpoints. These films have nothing in common, yet each of them addresses some aspect(s) of our discussions and reading this semester.

Hi Everyone...You mentioned four movies, but I only see three trailers. But anyway, I still have a vote, I've always wanted to see Half Nelson, so I'd pick that one. However, they all look good, so I'm happy with whatever the group decides...Tim
Watched each of the trailers i would have to say that Half Nelson is the one that i would like to see, with a close second to the Wind that Shakes the Barely.
Oops! The fourth film is Lonestar by John Sayles, which I showed a brief clip of earlier in the semester.

sorry about that one guys!
while seeing Matthew's chest yet another time is tempting... I'm submitting a dual vote for The Wind that Shakes the Barley and Half Nelson.
My vote is for Half Nelson!
I'm tied between Half Nelson and The Wind that Shakes the Barley...which seems to be what everyone else is saying too!
The Wind that Shakes the Barley gets my vote!
I vote for Half Nelson and then Edges of the Lord.
I know it's a little late but it's alright because I can't really find one film that looks more appealing that the other since I'd like to see them all. I am by no means trying to sound apathetic, but I don't mind which one we watch! They all look really good!
